Terri's Books and Blogs

First and foremost I am a Jesus-Lover. I am the wife of Charles Solomon who also loves Jesus and we really love each other.

He's my boo.

We have been blessed

with children and grandchildren.

I thank God that they are all saved. They love my cooking and read my books. Sometimes they even take my advice. I am truly a blessed woman of God.

Welcome to my virtual home. I hope you enjoy the "soul food."

Blessings, Mommy T

ANGELS ON ASSINGMENT

The angel of the LORD surrounds/guards/encamps those who fear him, and he protects/rescues/delivers them. Psalm 34:7 (Expanded)

I can’t tell you how many times I have found myself in a crisis concerning a personal matter, a family or friend matter. As a matter of fact, I sometimes worry, fret and get upset and overeat and almost give in to defeat.

Have you ever lay in bed, trying to get negative pictures out of your head – imagining the worse.

BUT then I whisper a Psalm (27 – 34 or 91)

and God whispers back, "I got this - it's already done."

Though invisible, not seen with my eyes, I can image an angel on assignment  bringing help in disguise.

I am reminded that I have only to call on his Name and God quickly puts my enemies to shame.

Stop thinking you have to fight battles on your own.

You're linked-in to God and your challenge is known.

Your name is dispatched to the hosts around his throne.

When trouble comes they spread their wings in an awesome display, With power and might, winning the fight and saving the day.

Psalm 34:7, says that the Angel of the LORD surrounds those who fear him. I actually woke up one night and found a glowing angel standing by my bed. Was I dreaming? Maybe.

But I certainly wasn’t dreaming when I lost control of my car on the highway and spiraled down a steep embankment. I could have been killed, but a sudden calm engulfed me and soon my car changed directions and stopped in a safe place on the side of the road. I'll never forget a truck passed by with a large decal that said, "Grace." I can assure you that on the day you ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, angels will be dispatched from heaven. I call them Goodness and Mercy, for they will follow you all the days of your life – as you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

THE ROLE OF ANGELS IN YOUR DAILY LIFE           ...

1. As a believer you are under God’s constant protection.

For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Psalm 91:11 (NIV)

2. Angels can take on human form to help, guide and protect you.

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so, some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2 (NIV)

3. God sends angels to speak to you and answer your prayers.

While I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice. Daniel 9:21 (NIV)

4. God uses angels to deliver you from evil attacks.

My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.

They have not hurt me. Daniel 6:22a (NIV)

5. God sends special angels to watch over children to keep them from harm. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. Matthew 18:10 (NIV)

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

I thank you for angels on assignment who watch over my loved ones and myself. Thank you Lord that because of the presence of holy angels in our lives, no weapon formed against us will prosper. Thank you Lord for angels that whisper words of guidance, wisdom and revelation to our hearts.

Most of all, thank you for Jesus. In his name I pray, Amen.

THE LOVE-GIVER

One thing I know to be true, for my heart bears the marks: Love has the power to hurt and love has the power to heal. I know the joy of being embraced and accepted by a husband who prays for me, protects me, kisses me and ignores my bad moods. But, I also I know the pain of being betrayed by a friend and misused by a family member. A Love-giver learns it is the challenges that come with relationships that will take you out of the shallows and into the deep where Love-givers are birthed and forged with strength and endurance.

Jesus was the first Love-giver. He came in the flesh and felt the joy and closeness of fellowship as well as the pain of betrayal and abandonment. No matter what the outcome, he continued to give love. The beloved twelve who walked with him, vowed devotion and loyalty, but their love had not yet been perfected. It took the ribbons of red blood spilling from the Love-giver’s side and the words of forgiveness spoken with his dying breath that changed the twelve from selfish to selfless.

And now, Jesus has made a way for you to become a Love-giver, accepting the good with the bad and allowing forgiveness to transform your pain into power. Some will imagine that your life has been easy, almost perfect. But there will come a time when you will tell your story. You will reach out and touch a desperate hand and speak with gentle authority. “Listen honey, you hang in there. Everything is going to be all right. Jesus is taking you into the deep, to perfect you, and make you a Love-giver.”

Terri McFaddin-Solomon 2021

YOU CAN KNOW A LOVE-GIVER BY 3 CHARACTERISTICS:

1. The Love-giver passionately loves God first.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul and

with all your mind. (Matthew 22:37)

2. The Love-giver is always concerned about others.

But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came to the wounded man;

and took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged

his wounds, pouring on oil and wine.  (Luke 10:34-35)

3. The Love-giver is a master of forgiveness.

“Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister

who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus answered,

"I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."

(Matthew 18:21-23)

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, there are so many people in need of love. Show me how to be a Love-giver to the angry, the hurting, the lonely, the needy and the lost.

Fill me with the spirit of patience and forgiveness even when I am the one who is hurt and wounded. Remind me Lord, to show appreciation to the Love-givers who have touched my life and turned my sadness to joy. As I strive to be a better

Love-giver let me experience the blessing of seeing those who were imprisoned by fear and hate, break free to love again. In the name of Jesus I pray, AMEN.
